Social Media Moderator – Miala (Beauty & Cosmetics E-commerce)

Miala, a leading e-commerce destination for beauty and cosmetics, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Social Media Moderator to join our growing team. As a Social Media Moderator at Miala, you will be a key player in cultivating a vibrant and engaging online community passionate about beauty and cosmetics. You’ll be the first point of contact for many of our online interactions, ensuring a professional, welcoming, and glamorous environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and Moderating: Reviewing and managing user-generated content, comments, and messages on social media platforms.
  • Content Review: Evaluating content for compliance with community guidelines, terms of service, and brand standards.
  • Comment Management: Responding to comments, answering questions, and engaging with users in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Issue Resolution: Addressing and resolving customer complaints, concerns, and issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Spam and Abuse Management: Identifying and removing spam, hate speech, and other forms of abusive content.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Providing insights and reports on user engagement, content performance, and community trends.
  • Community Engagement: Encouraging customer participation, fostering a positive community atmosphere, and promoting brand awareness.

Skills and Qualities:

  • Education: BSc/HND in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience as a Social Media Manager, with some experience in content moderation.
  • Passion for Beauty and Cosmetics: A genuine interest in the beauty and cosmetics industry is essential!
  • Excellent Communication and Customer Service Skills: You possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong Attention to Detail and Analytical Skills: You have a keen eye for detail and the ability to analyze data to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Ability to Work Independently and Make Sound Judgments: You are comfortable working independently and making informed decisions in real-time.
  • Knowledge of Social Media Platforms: You have a deep understanding of various social media platforms, their features, and community guidelines, especially those popular within the beauty community.
  • Understanding of Brand Voice and Messaging: You can effectively communicate Miala’s brand voice, tone, and messaging, which is sophisticated, informative, and inspiring to beauty lovers.
  • Ability to Handle Sensitive Situations: You can handle sensitive or crisis situations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
  • Familiarity with Social Media Tools: Experience with social media management tools and software (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, SproutSocial) is a plus
