Senior Technical Project Manager

Job Description:
The Senior Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale technical projects for SpacePointe USA. The ideal candidate will have verifiable experience managing complex, high-stakes projects and must be well-versed in both Agile and traditional project management methodologies. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills who can drive project success through effective planning, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements.
- Define project objectives, success criteria, and key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
- Lead technical projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring adherence to best practices and methodologies.
- Stakeholder & Client Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for large client accounts, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and reviews with internal teams and client representatives.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, including executives, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
- Agile Methodologies & Continuous Improvement:
- Implement Agile project management practices, ensuring teams follow iterative and incremental delivery approaches.
- Conduct daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and project outcomes.
- Risk, Issue, and Change Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring proactive resolution to avoid delivery impacts.
- Manage change requests and scope modifications, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with project objectives.
- Escalate critical issues to senior management when necessary and implement effective contingency plans.
- Budget & Resource Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial targets.
- Allocate resources effectively to optimize team performance and project delivery.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to secure necessary talent and support.
- Quality & Performance Assurance:
- Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
- Oversee project testing, validation, and review processes to maintain high standards of quality.
- Analyze project performance metrics and implement improvements based on data-driven insights.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Provide detailed, regular project status reports to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, risk logs, change management records, and post-project evaluations.
- Ensure all project communications are clear, accurate, and properly documented.
Qualifications:
- Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP) is mandatory.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of verifiable experience in technical project management, managing large, complex projects with significant client impact.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget in high-pressure environments.
- Extensive experience in managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with diverse stakeholder groups, including clients, executives, and technical teams.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Advanced knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana, or equivalent) and collaboration tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.

Pay: ₦400,000.00 – ₦750,000.00 per month
