Are you a detail-oriented, experienced accountant ready to lead and build the financial systems of a growing school and club in Abuja? Rupetta Academy & Tech Swimmers Club is seeking a Senior Accountant / Accounts & Finance Lead to manage all aspects of finance, bookkeeping, reporting, and tax compliance. If you’re ready to take full ownership of the accounts department and work directly with leadership, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, books, and ledgers.
• Reconcile bank statements, manage petty cash, and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow.
• Lead budget planning and forecasting for the school and club.
• Ensure compliance with all tax requirements (PAYE, VAT, WHT, CIT) and liaise with FIRS/state tax authorities.
• Process staff payroll and statutory remittances.
• Monitor income from school fees and club memberships; follow up on receivables.
• Handle accounts payable, vendor payments, and procurement budgets.
• Develop accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting systems.
• Coordinate annual audits and financial reporting to management.
• Support the management with strategic financial insights.

Requirement

• B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–8 years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in an educational or SME environment.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACA, ACCA) is highly preferred .
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and remittances.
• Proficient in accounting software (Zoho, QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience setting up accounting systems and policies is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong ethics, and the ability to work independently.
