Job Description:

The Security Guards Recruitment Officer / Supervisor is responsible for the full lifecycle management of security personnel—from sourcing and onboarding through daily supervision and performance oversight. This role ensures that all security team members are expertly vetted, thoroughly trained, and consistently uphold the highest standards of professionalism and vigilance.

Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified security guard candidates.
  • Review applications, conduct preliminary screenings, and manage interview scheduling.
  • Facilitate background checks, license verifications, and medical clearances.
  • Coordinate orientation sessions and training programs on company policies, legal requirements, and security protocols.

Training & Development:

  • Ensure all new hires complete mandatory training (e.g., access control, emergency response, first aid).
  • Identify ongoing training needs and coordinate refresher courses and drills.
  • Monitor competencies and certify guards according to internal and regulatory standards.

Supervision & Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day deployment of security personnel across assigned posts and shifts.
  • Prepare and maintain guard schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with labor regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and patrols alongside guards to assess performance and adherence to procedures.

Performance & Discipline:

  • Set clear performance expectations and KPIs (e.g., attendance, incident reporting, response times).
  • Carry out performance appraisals, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvement plans.
  • Investigate disciplinary incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions or sanctions as necessary.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate personnel records, training logs, and incident reports.
  • Ensure all security activities comply with company policies, legal statutes, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on recruitment metrics, staffing levels, and incident trends.

Team Leadership & Culture:

  • Foster a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for security staff, addressing concerns and fostering open communication.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating high standards of integrity, vigilance, and customer service.

  • Experience Level : Entry level
  • Experience Length : 2 years

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in security recruitment, supervision, or HR roles within the security services industry.
  • Excellent interviewing and candidate assessment abilities.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Sound knowledge of security regulations, licensing requirements, and industry standards.
  • Proven leadership with the ability to motivate and guide a frontline team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS/recruitment software.
