Job Description:

MIHEI is expanding its reach and impact by offering comprehensive, affordable health insurance packages specifically tailored to support maternal and infant health care needs. We are currently looking for highly motivated and dynamic Sales and Marketing Representatives to help us extend these vital insurance services to communities most in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Sales and Marketing:

o Actively engage and market MIHEI’s health insurance plans within assigned communities, hospitals, and healthcare centers, particularly focusing on underserved and rural areas.

  • Client Education and Relationship Building:

o Clearly communicate insurance policy features, benefits, costs, and claims processes to potential clients, ensuring they fully understand the value of coverage.

o Foster strong, trusting relationships with community members, leaders, and stakeholders to enhance acceptance and adoption of health insurance plans.

  • Sales Targets and Reporting:

o Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and enrolment goals.

o Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and market feedback, reporting regularly to the Administrative Coordinator.

  • Field Outreach and Community Engagement:

o Conduct door-to-door marketing, participate in community events, and health fairs to reach potential clients.

o Collaborate closely with Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) and local healthcare providers to promote insurance enrolment among their patients.

  • Data Management:

o Maintain accurate, timely records of sales activities, customer interactions, and client feedback.

  • Feedback and Reporting:

o Provide regular reports on sales activities, challenges encountered in the field, and suggestions to improve the insurance marketing strategy.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Educational Qualifications:

o Minimum of an OND/HND or bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Health Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.

  • Experience:

o At least 1-2 years of experience in sales, marketing, customer service, community outreach, or a similar role. Previous experience in the health insurance sector is a strong advantage.

o Familiarity with maternal and child healthcare challenges and the healthcare system is highly desirable.

  • Skills and Competencies:

o Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

o Ability to build rapport quickly and communicate effectively across diverse socio-economic backgrounds.

o Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.

o Comfortable working independently, in the field, and in community settings.
