Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Research & Development Officer to join our agro-allied company. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving research and development initiatives focused on improving agricultural processes, developing new products, enhancing existing ones, and ensuring sustainable and efficient use of resources. You will be expected to work closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative agricultural solutions from concept to market.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct research to develop new agro-based products, processes, and technologies.
– Evaluate current products and processes to improve efficiency, yield, and quality.
– Perform trials and experiments on raw materials, formulations, and production processes.
– Collect and analyze data to provide technical insights and recommendations.
– Collaborate with the production, quality assurance, and procurement teams to implement improvements.
– Monitor industry trends, innovations, and regulatory requirements relevant to agro-allied products.
– Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and presentations on research findings.
– Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during all R&D activities.
– Support commercialization of new products and process innovations.
– Work with external research institutions and industry partners as needed.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, Food Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related field.
– 4–5 years of experience in a similar R&D role, preferably in the agro-allied sector.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Good understanding of agricultural processes, food safety, and product development.
– Proficient in research methodologies and lab techniques.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
– Detail-oriented with strong project management abilities.
