Relationship Officer

Job Description:

To prospect new clients and manage the company’s relationship with existing clients to grow the Merchant Services business line.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining relationships with key personnel within customer companies; actively seek and alert the line manager of leads/ opportunities for business.
  • Ensuring the prompt implementation of the team’s approved merchant acquiring strategy and business plans
  • Sale of point of Sale (POS) terminals and other products/solutions to Banks and clients.
  • Ensuring customer retention.
  • Ensuring that customer issues and/or service requests are promptly attended to.
  • Monitoring terminal activity of high net worth merchants.
  • Escalating areas of concern as raised by the customer and working with ITEX support teams/3rd parties to promptly resolve the same.
  • Conducting periodic meetings with the customers, internal and external to verify that customers are provided excellent services in line agreed SLA.
  • Identifying trends and implementing change as may be directed by the line manager.
  • Reviewing and forwarding updates or feedback from the field support team on any direct escalation from Banks.
  • Ensure detailed reports of action plans and progress reports are sent to Line Manager weekly and monthly.

Requirement

  • Minimum educational qualification: BSC or HND in Marketing or any Business-Related discipline.
  • 1 – 5 year experience in a relationship officer or sales role.
  • Sales experience from the Fintech or banking industry is mandatory
  • Strong Interpersonal skills.
  • Good Communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Problem analysis and solving skills.
  • Strong Business intelligence skill
