Job Description:

A reputable oil and gas company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to oversee and support engineering projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with strong technical expertise, project management capabilities, and excellent collaboration skills. This role requires preparing and executing project schedules, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support for exploration activities, including data acquisition and interpretation
• Support well intervention operations such as pumping, coil tubing, slickline activities, and wellhead installation/maintenance
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, safety regulations, and internal policies
• Identify project-related issues, mitigate risks, and ensure timely resolution
• Design frameworks for tracking project performance using relevant metrics
• Conduct site inspections and ensure alignment with project specifications
• Prepare and manage detailed project schedules and timelines
• Monitor execution and report on project progress, performance, and deliverables
• Liaise with clients to gather project requirements and relay them to relevant teams
• Represent the company at client meetings, conferences, and industry events
• Prepare cost estimates, resource projections, and capital expenditure budgets
• Maintain vendor database and price lists as per internal procedures
• Support bid and tender documentation processes
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry
• Strong background in project engineering and management
• Familiarity with well intervention operations
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, or other project software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
• Ability to handle multiple projects under pressure
• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is an added advantage
• Knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices

Work Conditions:

• Office-based role with regular field/site visits
• May require extended working hours to meet project milestones
• Must be adaptable to dynamic project environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦500,000.00 – ₦900,000.00 per month
