Job Description:
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the production process within our Global Organics pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role will ensure the timely and efficient production of high-quality pharmaceutical products across various dosage forms, including liquids, capsules, powders, tablets, ointments, and creams. The Production Manager will also be responsible for implementing strategies to minimize waste and optimize production processes in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Responsibilities:
● Production Planning and Execution: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and ensure the timely delivery of pharmaceutical products.
● Cross-Dosage Form Production Management: Manage production processes across multiple dosage forms, including liquids, capsules, powders, tablets, ointments, and creams.
● Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production costs while adhering to GMP.
● Waste Reduction: Implement strategies and initiatives to minimize waste throughout the production process, including material waste, product loss, and rework, in compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards.
● Quality Control: Ensure that all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including GMP.
● Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
● Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and operation of production equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
● Inventory Management: Manage raw materials and finished goods inventory levels to ensure smooth production flow and minimize storage costs.
● Problem Solving: Identify and resolve production issues in a timely and effective manner, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
● Safety Compliance: Ensure that all production activities are carried out in accordance with safety regulations and company policies, with a focus on maintaining a safe and compliant pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
● Reporting: Prepare and present production reports, including production output, efficiency metrics, and waste reduction data.
● Cost Control: Monitor production costs and implement measures to control expenses and improve profitability.
● Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, including GMP, FDA regulations, and other applicable pharmaceutical industry standards.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
● Minimum of 7 years of experience in production management within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
● Extensive experience in managing production processes for various dosage forms, including liquids, capsules, powders, tablets, ointments, and creams.
● Proven track record of successfully reducing waste and improving production efficiency in a pharmaceutical setting.
● Strong knowledge of quality control principles and practices, with a deep understanding of GMP.
● Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
● Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems.
● Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
● Familiarity with NAFDAC regulations and other pharmaceutical industry standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies in a pharmaceutical context.
● Knowledge of specific equipment and technologies used in the production of pharmaceutical products.
● Certification in production management or a related field.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₦400,000.00 per month
