Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in production planning, process optimization, and technical supervision within a steel fabrication or structural steel environment. This role is key to ensuring production efficiency, quality compliance, and timely delivery of fabricated components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily production activities to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Supervise the fabrication process of steel components such as beams, columns, trusses, and plate structures.
• Monitor machine and manpower utilization to ensure optimal workflow and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, welding standards, and fabrication tolerances.
• Identify production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce rework and waste.
• Collaborate with design, QA/QC, procurement, and project teams to align production with client requirements.
• Ensure safety standards and proper use of tools, machinery, and personal protective equipment (PPE) on the shop floor.
• Maintain production documentation, including reports, progress tracking, and material usage logs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a steel structure fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes such as cutting, welding, bending, and assembly.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Familiarity with production planning tools and techniques (e.g., lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and team management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦250,000.00 – ₦300,000.00 per month
