Payroll Specialist

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll across multiple entities or business units, ensuring compliance with local laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process end-to-end payroll transactions using SAP (Magnar) (including data entry, validation, execution, and reporting).
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity in SAP HR/Payroll modules.
  • Validate timesheets, leave records, and variable payments such as bonuses, overtime, and allowances.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (e.g., tax, social security, pension contributions).
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Prepare payroll reports and analytics for audits and internal use.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to payroll.
  • Keep up to date with changes in payroll legislation and system updates.
  • Respond to employee queries regarding salaries, deductions, and payroll policies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements within SAP.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in payroll processing, with hands-on use of SAP (Magnar) HR/Payroll modules.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • High attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or integration with SAP
  • Exposure to multi-country payroll or large employee populations.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPP, PCM) is a plus.
