Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Packages Manager with 7–10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry to oversee and manage the procurement, engineering, fabrication, and delivery of project equipment packages. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and package scopes are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

  • Lead the management, coordination, and execution of equipment packages for major oil and gas projects.
  • Ensure that all equipment packages meet technical, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage vendor selection, negotiations, and supplier performance evaluation.
  • Oversee technical reviews, design approvals, and compliance with industry standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.).
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement and delivery of mechanical, electrical, and process equipment packages.
  • Develop and implement project execution strategies for key equipment packages.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to avoid project delays.
  • Monitor and report progress, cost control, and schedule adherence.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE and QA/QC requirements throughout the equipment lifecycle.

Academic Qualification:

  • University degree/Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • 7–10 years of experience in package management, procurement, and equipment delivery in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience in managing EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts.

Technical/Leadership Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of equipment package procurement, fabrication, and installation.
  • Expertise in vendor management, contract negotiations, and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and process equipment used in oil and gas operations.
  • Understanding of international codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO, NACE, etc.).
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple work packages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and optimize project execution.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
  • Strong contract management and procurement skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate between multiple stakeholders, vendors, and contractors.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Ensure the successful delivery of all assigned equipment packages.
  • Manage vendor relationships and procurement activities.
  • Monitor package engineering, fabrication, and testing processes.
  • Ensure cost, schedule, and quality compliance for equipment packages.
  • Implement risk management strategies to minimize project delays.
