Job Description:
The Order Processing Officer is responsible for handling all incoming customer orders efficiently and accurately from order confirmation to delivery coordination. This role ensures that every step in the order cycle is tracked, documented, and completed to meet customer expectations and internal service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Process all incoming sales orders from the website, online platforms, or in-store, ensuring accuracy in product, quantity, and delivery information.
- Cross-check customer details and confirm payment before initiating dispatch.
- Collaborate with Inventory and Sales teams to confirm product availability.
- Coordinate with logistics/riders to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of items.
- Monitor order progress and update customers or internal teams on any delays or issues.
- Handle order amendments, cancellations, and replacements according to company policy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all orders processed.
- Follow up with customers post-delivery to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
- Report any irregularities or repeated order issues to management for escalation.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of OND/HND/B.Sc. in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 1–2 years experience in order processing, customer service, or fulfillment (preferably in retail or e-commerce).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and process-oriented.
