Spotlight Nigeria, FON’s flagship event, is Europe’s foremost business and investment summit on investing in Nigeria. The annual summit brings together stakeholders from public and private sectors in Nigeria, France, and the European business community, and provides a formidable platform to discuss business and project opportunities, access potential strategic partners, and secure concrete business deals.

The event which takes place in Paris, France attracts participants from all over Europe and Nigeria, including top executives, business leaders, and reputable organizations.

Nigerians in Diaspora Awards Gala

The Nigerians in Diaspora Awards (NIDA) Gala is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the outstanding achievements of Nigerians living abroad across various fields.

The event seeks to raise awareness and promote a positive narrative regarding the contributions of the Nigerian diaspora, ultimately inspiring future generations to pursue excellence.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Operations & Engagement Manager to join our team. This hybrid role merges responsibilities in administrative management, project coordination, community engagement, and communications. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day administrative tasks, oversee project execution (especially around events), and actively engage with our community across social and digital platforms. This is a remote position offering the opportunity to collaborate across teams while driving operational excellence and community impact.

Key Responsibilities:Administrative & Project Management:

  • Maintain accurate records and organize company documentation.
  • Handle bookkeeping tasks, including financial tracking and reporting.
  • Conduct market research to support strategic initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing support in documentation, correspondence, and reporting.

Event Coordination:

  • Handle the official FON email address dedicated to interested participants and institutional partners of Spotlight Nigeria and NIDA based in Nigeria.
  • Handle the contact telephone number in Nigeria and respond to emails and calls that are received concerning related events.
  • Assist the FON team in content preparation (slides, presentations) needed for local partners and the event.
  • Support in preparing the agenda and relevant documents for the events (invitation letters, speakers’ profiles, write-ups, and other ad-hoc services to engage Nigerian stakeholders)

Client Relations:

  • Following up with registered participants in Nigeria and providing updates on the status from time to time, including information for visa processing, and others
  • Liaising with the team in France to ensure registered delegates from Nigeria have the necessary information to make the best of their participation.
  • Work with assigned local partners and support them with communication materials and necessary information for sales and mobilization.

Public relations:

  • When required, represent FON at strategic meetings, events, and programs in Nigeria related to Spotlight Nigeria and NIDA. The team in Paris will communicate from time-to-time meetings that are of strategic importance to the events and when you will need to act as FON’s representative.

Community Engagement & Communications:

  • Engage with members and institutional partners via Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, website, and newsletter platforms.
  • Develop and execute content and digital strategies to build engagement around brand initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Communications on messaging consistency and outreach.
  • Create written and visual content for social media, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
  • Monitor social media analytics and adjust strategies for greater reach and interaction.
  • Conduct social listening and trend analysis to guide community strategies.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in administration, project management, communications, or related fields.
  • Strong background in bookkeeping, record-keeping, and administrative systems.
  • Proven experience in project management, subject-matter research and presentation
  • Proven experience in social media engagement and content creation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel experience with digital communication tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Zoho).
  • Advanced proficiency with content management and design tools (Adobe photoshop, Canva).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in business administration, communications, marketing, or related fields.
  • Experience in event planning and execution.
  • Familiarity with marketing and branding strategies.
  • Familiarity with market research techniques and tools.
  • Graphic design and editing skills.
