Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Nursing Assistant to support our nursing staff in providing high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will assist with daily patient needs, aid in routine procedures, and help maintain a safe and comfortable environment. This role requires a caring demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care Assistance

• Assist nurses with daily patient care tasks such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene.
• Help patients with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and ambulation to prevent pressure sores and enhance comfort.
• Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure) and report any significant changes to the nursing team.

Support During Procedures

• Assist nurses during routine medical procedures and patient examinations.
• Prepare and set up necessary equipment and supplies for patient care.
• Ensure patient comfort and dignity throughout care procedures.

Environment & Equipment Maintenance

• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in patient rooms, common areas, and workstations.
• Follow established infection control protocols and safety guidelines to protect both patients and staff.
• Assist in restocking supplies and managing equipment in the care areas.

Documentation & Communication

• Accurately document patient observations and care activities in medical records.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding patient status and needs.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring a compassionate approach to care.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred or in progress.
• Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus, though entry-level candidates with the right attitude are welcome.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic understanding of patient care principles and medical terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
