Movable Assets and Laundry Management Officer

Job Description:
To ensure efficient management and compliance in the handling, tracking, maintenance, and utilization of laundry operations and movable guest services assets (furniture, equipment, appliances, etc.) in line with approved work instructions, service standards, and protocols to support service excellence and accountability across the client’s guest accommodation and hospitality facilities in Bonny.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Laundry Service Oversight:
Monitor and supervise third-party laundry service providers for adherence to approved work instructions, fabric care standards, and cleanliness protocols for guest linens, uniforms, and special garments. Ensure hygiene and turnaround times meet quality benchmarks.
- Compliance Assurance:
Ensure that all laundry and housekeeping activities comply with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 22716 for laundry hygiene where applicable) and internal operating procedures, including periodic review and update of work instructions.
- Movable Assets Management:
Maintain accurate inventory and condition records of movable hotel assets, including furniture, electronics, appliances, fixtures, and guest amenities in all guesthouses, lounges, and office accommodation.
- Asset Condition Monitoring:
Oversee periodic checks to ensure all guest-use assets meet safety, functionality, and aesthetic requirements. Coordinate repair, replacement, or disposal as necessary and ensure timely intervention on reported issues.
- Tagging and Asset Movement Tracking:
Implement and maintain asset tagging and tracking mechanisms (manual or digital). Ensure proper documentation for all asset movements, replacements, and relocations.
- Performance Monitoring and Vendor Engagement:
Monitor SLA performance for laundry and asset support services. Escalate deviations and work with vendors to implement corrective measures. Participate in service performance reviews.
- Documentation and Reporting:
Ensure all asset management and laundry activities are properly documented. Generate routine reports on inventory status, laundry service KPIs, and compliance gaps for management review.
- Training and Awareness:
Support awareness creation and vendor staff training on proper handling of guest linen, uniforms, and hospitality movable assets to avoid damage and ensure longevity.
Education and Work Experience
- HND or bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, Facility Management, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of practical experience in housekeeping operations, preferably with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
