Job Description:

As a Motion Artist at Moving Surface, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning graphics that elevate our brand, content, and client projects. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, developers, and strategists to produce immersive experiences that communicate ideas effectively and leave a lasting impact.

Responsibilities

• Design and animate motion graphics for digital installations, projection mapping, social media, product explainers, and brand videos.
• Translate creative briefs into engaging animated content.
• Collaborate with graphic designers, creative leads, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of visuals and interactivity.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas for visual storytelling and animation style.
• Work with sound designers or add sound where applicable to enhance the viewer experience.
• Optimize animations for various formats—web, social media, projection systems, and large-scale displays.
• Stay updated on trends in animation, design, and interactive media, bringing fresh ideas to the table.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in motion graphics or animation (agency or freelance).
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Experience with animation principles, kinetic typography, transitions, and visual rhythm.
• A strong eye for design, color, composition, and timing.
• Portfolio that demonstrates a range of styles and strong storytelling through motion.
• Understanding of formats, codecs, and technical requirements for video export.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback gracefully.

Bonus / Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with 3D animation tools like Cinema 4D, Blender, or Element 3D.
• Experience with interactive media, touchscreens, or projection mapping.
• Knowledge of generative or AI art tools (e.g., RunwayML, Midjourney, etc.)
• Sound design or audio syncing capabilities.
• Experience working in agile or fast-paced creative teams.
