Merchant Acquisition Manager

Job Description:

The post holder will be tasked with the initial stages of business development where they will be contacting merchants and key clients with the aim of setting up meetings and establishing new lines of communication.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Source for new clients and expand client network in the e-commerce space.
  • Develop and maintain market dominance by ensuring acquisition, retention, and Month on Month growth in acquisition.
  • Drive corporate strategy in Markets, Partnership, Aggregators and Supply value chain.
  • Monitor performance of Merchants, consumer behavior and provide market intelligence to the team.
  • Proper Branding and training of Merchants and partners.
  • Comply with rules, regulations and legislation governing the financial services industry.
  • Consistently deliver monthly targets.
  • Any other responsibility may be assigned by the Head of sales.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of working experiences in a similar role.
  • Good client relationship management and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in Merchant Acquiring, Card Operations & Scheme Operations
  • Team Management & Project Management
  • Excellent interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to network, generate new business and develop strong business relations.
  • The incumbent must be pleasantly assertive and bring to the team lots of energy and enthusiasm, thrive on challenges and must be able to work in teams.
  • Aggressive and energetic in sales on behalf of the company’s portfolio of business deliverables
  • Well organized with a professional appearance
  • Understands the local merchant acquiring landscape, key players in the industry, regulations, scope and opportunity in digital payments
  • Innovative forward thinker and a dynamic business hunter with the ability to not only meet but exceed agreed sales goals
  • At both an operational and strategic level, manage channel partner relationships to the benefit of the company
  • Strong Business knowledge of Financial Services and Technology

Pay: ₦500,000.00 – ₦700,000.00 per month
