Job Description:
Seeking a structural civil engineer or refinery construction engineer to play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient, safe, and on-time construction of oil refinery or plant facilities. The engineer will manage the designing, planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects, collaborating with other engineers to bring design plans to life. Their responsibilities include defining the scope, overseeing project budgets, adhering to safety standards, and ensuring the quality of construction work.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of technical construction workers or engineers from initiation to completion of project.
Define and design the scope, identify and understand the technical requirements.
Develop detailed construction plans, timelines, and budgets, managing the overall project lifecycle from conception to completion.
Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all construction work meets safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Identify and address any issues or problems that arise during the construction process, ensuring that the project remains on track.
Prepare and maintain detailed project reports, tracking progress, costs, and other key metrics.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or/and Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field).
Experience in construction projects, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
Strong understanding of construction principles, practices, and safety regulations.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, project management reporting software and tools.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
Additional Considerations:
Refinery construction often involves working in remote or hazardous environments, so adaptability and resilience are important.
Construction engineers may need to travel frequently to different project sites.
Staying current with industry advancements and regulations is crucial for success.
