Job Description:

We are looking for a highly organized and resourceful Logistics & Procurement Manager to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services required for mining operations. 

The ideal candidate will ensure the cost-effective flow of goods and oversee logistics to support site productivity and operational goals.

 Key Responsibilities: 

Procurement Duties: 

1. Develop and implement sourcing strategies for mining equipment, spare parts, fuel, and consumables. 

2. Identify and engage reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure value for money.

 3. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.

 4. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry regulations. 

5. Track market trends and monitor supplier performance to mitigate supply risks.

 6. Prepare purchase orders and manage end-to-end procurement processes.

 Logistics Duties

1. Plan and coordinate the transport and delivery of materials and equipment to and from the mining site. 

2. Oversee inventory levels and storage conditions to prevent shortages or overstocking.

 3. Ensure timely clearance and transportation of imports (if applicable).

 4. Manage fleet and logistics partners, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost control.

 5. Monitor the condition and movement of equipment and supplies on-site.

 6. Ensure all logistics activities comply with safety, legal, and environmental standards. 

Qualifications & Requirements:

 1. Bachelor’s degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 

2. 2–3 years of relevant experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in the mining or construction sector. 

3. Strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills.

 4. Working knowledge of procurement and inventory software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, etc.). 5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

 6. Strong knowledge of local and international supply chain practices. 

7. Ability to work in remote locations and under pressure.

 Preferred: 

1. Familiarity with mining equipment, tools, and supply chain logistics.

Willingness to travel: 100% (Preferred)
