Legal Officer – Real Estate

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling legal matters related to property transactions, regulatory compliance, contract review, and dispute resolution. You will work closely with the management team to ensure all business dealings comply with current real estate laws and best practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and interpret legal documents, including contracts, tenancy agreement.
- Provide legal advice and support on all real estate transactions and issues.
- Conduct due diligence on property titles and assist with land verification processes.
- Handle property documentation and registration processes with relevant authorities
- Represent the company in legal proceedings.
- Ensure the company complies with statutory regulations and real estate laws.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory changes and provide recommendations.
- Liaise with external solicitors, government agencies, and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- BL and a valid license to practice law in Nigeria.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of post-call legal experience, preferably in property law
- Strong knowledge of property and real estate law in Lagos State.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proximity to surulere is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
