Job Description:

The Legal Officer at Synergy Structures and Shelters Limited (My Homes NG) will be responsible for supporting the legal function across the organization, ensuring compliance with real estate, corporate and technology-related laws, and protecting the company’s interest in all business dealings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties)

• Contract Management : Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents including lease agreements, service contracts, vendor agreements, software licenses, NDAs, and Mou’s.
• Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with real estate laws, data privacy regulations, intellectual property rights, and other relevant statutory requirements.
• Real Estate Due Diligence : Conduct legal due diligence on property transactions, including title verification, land use, encumbrances, and ownership structures.
• Litigation & Dispute Resolution : Coordinate with external counsel on litigation matters. Manage legal notices, property disputes, and arbitration proceedings when necessary.
• Corporate Governance : Assist in company secretarial tasks, board meeting documentation, and maintaining statutory registers and filings.
• Legal Risk Management : Identify and mitigate potential legal risks related to business operations, customer transactions, and partnerships.
• Stakeholder Support : Provide legal advisory support to cross-functional teams such as Sales, Operations, Product, and Tech.
• Policy Development : Assist in drafting and updating internal legal policies, SOPs, and compliance manuals.

• Strong knowledge of real estate laws, commercial contracts, and technology-related legal frameworks.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Academic Qualification (Minimum)

• Bachelor’s degree in law (LL. B); Master’s or post-graduate diploma in Business or Property Law is a plus.
• 3–5 years of post-call legal experience, preferably in real estate, Property-Tech, or corporate commercial law

Salary Range

N300,000 – N400,000 monthly gross
