Legal Business Development Assistant
Company Name: Lexlance
Job Description:
We’re looking for a part-time Legal Business Development Assistant to help us connect with real communities, online and offline, and build strong relationships with people who need legal help, as well as the lawyers who can support them.
You don’t need to be a lawyer, but you do need to understand how people think, how to build trust, and how to explain things clearly.
What You’ll be Doing
- Identify and engage with online and offline communities where legal help is often needed
- Build partnerships with online (and possibly offline) associations, groups, and hubs
- Support light community campaigns (e.g. giveaways, webinars, referral drives)
- Collect feedback from lawyers and clients, and share useful insights with the team
- Occasionally represent LexLance in online events, group chats, or physical meetups
What you need to have
- Great people skills. You’re comfortable talking to strangers and building trust quickly
- Strong verbal communication
- Basic understanding of legal services and what people typically struggle with (no law degree needed, but as you can see, would be helpful)
- Resourceful, proactive, and not afraid to test new ideas
- Comfortable working independently and managing your time remotely
- Bonus if you have experience in legal tech, marketing, or community management
Nice to Have
- Background in Law, Business, or Marketing
- Prior experience working with a startup or early-stage product
