Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support the company’s business operations across its subsidiaries. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation, drafting, and corporate law expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal guidance on corporate, commercial, real estate, and employment matters.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts
- Advise management on legal risks and mitigation strategies.
- Handle legal aspects of mergers, and corporate restructuring.
- Manage corporate governance, including board resolutions and statutory filings.
- Resolve disputes related to contracts, tenancy, employment, and regulatory matters.
- Develop strategies to minimize litigation risks.
- Oversee property transactions, title verification, and land documentation.
- Ensure compliance with real estate regulations and land use laws.
- Handle lease agreements and sales agreements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: LL.B. and BL (Barrister & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years post-call experience, preferably in corporate law, real estate, or commercial litigation.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with real estate, hospitality, and construction laws is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
