Job Description:

  • Organise and coordinate the day to day production process on the Kitchen Floor.
  • Ensure orderliness, routine cleaning and proper maintenance of the kitchen floors, work tables, and equipment
  • Adhere to the principles of FIFO/FEFO for the receipt of incoming supplies.
  • Adhere to the quality checklist for the receipt of supplies.
  • Regularly inspect food items and kitchen areas for the purpose of preventing cross contamination of food borne illnesses.
  • Maintain inventory of dry storage, refrigerated and frozen food, condiments, etc. for the purpose of ensuring availability of items.
  • Control inventory levels by observing the reorder cycle and avoiding stock out.
  • Ensure the repair and routine maintenance of cooking equipment.
  • Inspect all production equipment on a regular basis to ensure they comply with cleanliness and functionality standards.
  • Promptly escalate any faulty or damaged equipment/machinery/electrical appliances to the facility Manager in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and logs and prepare reports as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum of OND/HND certificate or its equivalent
  • Kitchen/food production experience is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Willingness to work on a shift basis and weekends.
  • Genuine interest in production of healthy meals.
  • Candidates must live close to their desired work location: Ogudu, Lagos. (There is no accommodation)
