We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our fully remote accounting team. In this role, you will support multiple clients by assisting with various accounting functions, including financial record-keeping, reconciliations, and reporting. Responsibilities:

• Financial Record Keeping: Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately.
• Accounts Management: Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Expense Tracking: Review and verify expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and budgetary constraints.
• Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax laws, and other regulatory requirements.
• Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
  

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Professional Certifications: Completion of professional accounting programs such as ICAN (AAT or CA), ACCA, or ANAN is advantageous.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel
• Experienced with accounting software such as QuickBooks Sage or Xero is an advantage
