Job Description:

 The Inventory Manager will ensure optimal stock levels, minimize waste, streamline procurement processes, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust inventory control systems and procedures across all operational units.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective ordering of supplies.
  • Implement strategies for waste reduction, spoilage control, and efficient stock rotation.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to achieve favorable terms and pricing where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and quality standards pertaining to inventory storage and handling.
  • Prepare regular inventory reports and provide insights to management on inventory performance and opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize inventory management software effectively to track and manage stock.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in inventory management, supply chain, or a related field, preferably within the hospitality or retail sector.
  • Significant experience in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environment is a strong advantage.
  • Proven ability to manage complex inventory systems and optimize stock levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and forecasting.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • High level of proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness and availability to work long hours and most weekends as required by the hospitality industry’s operational demands.
