Internal Auditor

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Auditor to assess and improve the effectiveness of our risk management, control, and governance processes. The Internal Auditor will be responsible for evaluating internal operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and recommending improvements for efficiency and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform internal audits and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management practices
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, financial regulations, and external audit requirements
• Work closely with finance and operations teams to streamline processes and mitigate risks
• Monitor inventory, procurement, and production systems to detect irregularities or inefficiencies
• Support external audits and liaise with compliance and regulatory bodies
• Maintain updated documentation of audit findings and track implementation of corrective actions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification: ICAN, ACCA, CIA or equivalent (required)
• 5–7 years of internal audit or compliance experience, preferably in agro-manufacturing or FMCG sector
• Strong knowledge of risk-based auditing, inventory controls, and ERP systems
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail

• Willingness to relocate to or reside in Katsina
