Job Description:

We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Implement Technicians/Operators to join our agro-allied team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing various farm implements and agricultural machinery to ensure efficient field operations. This role is critical to the timely and effective execution of field activities such as planting, fertilizing, spraying, and harvesting.

Key Responsibilities:

– Operate tractors, planters, harvesters, and other farm machinery and implements.

– Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and minor repairs on agricultural equipment.

– Diagnose equipment issues and collaborate with mechanics or supervisors for complex repairs.

– Ensure proper calibration and adjustment of implements for fieldwork.

– Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures during all operations.

– Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities or potential issues promptly.

– Keep accurate records of equipment use, maintenance, and fuel consumption.

– Assist with logistics and equipment movement as required during planting and harvesting seasons.

– Support other farm-related operations as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements:

– Minimum of 6 years experience

– Minimum of a technical diploma, vocational training, or relevant certification in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.

– Proven experience in operating and maintaining agricultural machinery and implements.

– Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic machinery problems.

– Knowledge of farm operations and seasonal agricultural cycles is an advantage.

– Ability to work long hours and under varying weather conditions.

– Physical stamina and good coordination.

– Good communication and team collaboration skills.
