Job Description:
You will be responsible for cleaning rooms and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds, and notifying maintenance of any issues. You should be able to lift 25 pounds and have an eye for cleanliness.
Housekeeper Responsibilities:
1. Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and carpet shampoo machine.
2. Cleans rooms, hallways and restrooms.
3. Washes walls and ceiling, moves furniture and turns mattress.
4. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes the floor.
5. Dusts and polishes metalwork.
6. Collects soiled linen for laundering.
7. Received linen supplies from floor shoots.
8. Maintains housekeeping carts.
9. Removes trash collected in the room from each floor pantry
10. Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect Newspaper bags, newspapers, trash, and solid linen.
11. Pickup clean linen and refill the par stock of linen on each floor pantry.
12. Deliver towels, cribs, cots and other items to the guest rooms on requests.
13. Perform duties of room attendant when necessary.
14. Sort linen, stock room attendant closets.
15. Refill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantry.
16. Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures.
17. Remove soiled linen and trash from the pool side and other service area and take to appropriate locations in the prescribed manner.
18. Report missing / found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisors.
19. Respond at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleagues.
20. Filling in for an absentee.
21. Take up any tasks assigned by the supervisors as and when needed.
22. Report to work in required uniform and in adherence with the Hotels Dress Code Policy.
23. Must be able to work independently and as a team player
Housekeeper Requirements:
- Degree in any relevant discipline
- Prior experience as a housekeeper in the hospitality industry.
- Ability to manage your time efficiently.
- Work well unsupervised.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Handle basic maintenance and cleaning
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests.
- Hard worker.
- Ability to work shifts, over weekends, and on holidays, as required.
Pay: ₦90,000.00 – ₦100,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ikeja: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
