Hotel Operations Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate the daily functions of a hotel. The Operations Manager will work closely with department heads to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning, efficient service delivery, and adherence to hotel standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight

  • Supervise the daily operations of departments such as front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
  • Monitor service standards across all areas to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Identify and address operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions.

Team Management

  • Support recruitment, training, and performance management of department teams.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and briefings to ensure clear communication.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Guest Experience

  • Ensure all guests receive high-quality service throughout their stay.
  • Resolve guest complaints or concerns efficiently and professionally.
  • Continuously review guest feedback to inform service improvements.

Process Improvement

  • Implement and refine operating procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Work with the General Manager to identify areas for innovation and growth.
  • Monitor inventory, supplies, and resources to prevent shortages or waste.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all departments follow hotel policies, safety regulations, and health standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain operational and service standards.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Assist the General Manager with reporting on performance, occupancy, and guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental communication and ensure operational alignment.
  • Participate in budget preparation and cost control initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in hotel operations or a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
