Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Graduate Account Intern to support our Finance team. This internship opportunity is designed for recent graduates who are looking to kick-start their career in accounting and gain hands-on experience in financial operations within a fast-paced conglomerate of Agriculture, Construction, Automobile, Furniture, Land craft amongst others.

As a Graduate Account Intern, you will assist with day-to-day financial tasks and support the finance department in ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping, reporting, and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Financial Support

• Assist in maintaining up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Support the preparation of payment vouchers, bank deposits, and petty cash reconciliations.
• Help with filing, scanning, and archiving of accounting documents.
• Aid in verifying supplier invoices and preparing payment schedules.

Technical Accounting Tasks

Post basic journal entries and assist with ledger reconciliations.

Assist with monthly bank and account reconciliations.

Support expense tracking and variance reporting.

Help prepare financial reports, budget summaries, and account statements.

Participate in internal audits and asset verification exercises.

Gain exposure to company-wide financial controls and compliance procedures.

Requirements

Recent graduate with a B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial systems.

Strong analytical and numeracy skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic office tools.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment.

Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).

Previous internship or work experience in a finance or administrative role.

Interest in tech-driven or engineering-based business environments.
