Fumigation and Pest Control Services Supervisor

Job Description:
To supervise the execution of all fumigation and pest control activities across Company-managed facilities, ensuring compliance with approved safety, health, and environmental protocols, proper application of chemicals, and sustained pest-free environments in line with operational standards.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Operational Oversight:
Supervise scheduled and ad-hoc fumigation and pest control services in residential, hospitality, office, and external areas, ensuring strict adherence to the approved work plan and safety measures.
- Compliance Monitoring:
Ensure all pest control activities are conducted in line with HSE policies, industry standards, and relevant national environmental regulations, including appropriate use and disposal of chemicals.
- Vendor Performance Supervision:
Monitor and evaluate 3rd party fumigation contractors to ensure service delivery aligns with contract scope, agreed frequencies, and safety documentation (e.g., MSDS, risk assessments, job hazard analysis).
- Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all fumigation activities, areas covered, chemicals used, and associated approvals. Submit periodic reports detailing service coverage, issues, and recommendations.
- Chemical and Equipment Control:
Verify that only Company-approved fumigants, insecticides, rodenticides, and application tools are used. Ensure proper storage, labelling, PPE usage, and tracking of chemical stock.
- Response to Infestation Complaints:
Investigate and close out reported pest-related incidents in facilities. Recommend and oversee emergency pest control interventions where needed.
- Awareness and Safety Coordination:
Liaise with facility users and occupants ahead of scheduled fumigation. Ensure proper area isolation, signage, and post-treatment ventilation to safeguard occupants.
- Continuous Improvement:
Recommend improved practices, products, or frequency adjustments based on infestation trends, monitoring results, and emerging technologies.
Education and Work Experience
- HND or B.Sc. in Environmental Science, Agricultural Science, Biological Sciences, Public Health, Pest Management, or a closely related field.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience.
- HSE Certifications: Basic Health, Safety & Environment (HSE Levels 1, 2 & 3) or NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Chemical Handling and Safety understanding, first aid certification (basic life support is a plus), facility management Training and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001) awareness.
