Full-Stack Software Developer – (Healthcare)

Job Description:

We are seeking a mission-driven Full-Stack Software Developer with strong experience in building and deploying web-based applications—particularly in healthcare. You will play a key role in helping refine and expand a working prototype , and lead the transition to a HIPAA-compliant hosting environment for production use.

You’ll be working closely with the product team to build a smart, AI-enabled patient care management platform that supports chronic disease care, consultations, and telehealth workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Team to understand clinical workflows and business requirements
• Refine and modularize the existing no-code-based application
• Build out new components, including:
• Patient profiles
• Documentation forms
• Prior authorization tracking
• Dynamic consent forms
• Role-based dashboards
• Build or integrate APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Google Calendar, secure email/SMS, CRM)
• Architect and deploy the application to a HIPAA-compliant cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure, or a HIPAA PaaS like Aptible or Paubox)
• Implement role-based authentication , encryption at rest and in transit , and audit logging
• Set up automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, and regression)
• Create technical documentation and ensure clean, portable code for future scaling

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years of full-stack development experience
• Strong proficiency in:
• JavaScript (React or Vue) for frontend
• Node.js / Express or Python (Flask/Django) for backend
• SQL or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with low-code/no-code environment and GitHub version control
• Experience deploying apps to HIPAA-compliant cloud environments
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security rules , including:
• Encryption standards (TLS 1.2+, AES-256)
• Access control and audit trails
• Secure handling of PHI
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices , such as:
• AWS EC2, S3, RDS, or GCP equivalents
• Docker, CI/CD pipelines, environment variables
• Comfort with integrating AI tools (e.g., OpenAI API) into application logic
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical solutions into layperson’s terms

Nice to Have:

• Experience in healthcare tech
• Prior work with Zoho Creator, Bubble, or other no-code platforms
• Experience with PDF generation, e-signatures, and form builders
• Familiarity with tools like Paubox, Aptible, or TrueVault for HIPAA PaaS
