Job Description:

We are looking for a pleasant Front Desk Representative to undertake all receptionist and clerical duties at the desk of our main entrance. You will be the “face” of the company for all visitors and will be responsible for the first impression we make.

The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy-going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information. A customer-oriented approach is essential.

The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while on our premises.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and provide a friendly and efficient check-in and check-out process.
  • Assist guests with inquiries, provide information about hotel facilities, and offer recommendations for local attractions.
  • Handle reservation requests, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in booking processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room availability, rates, and promotions.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly, addressing guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Communicate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure smooth guest experiences.
  • Handle guest concerns and complaints with a positive attitude, finding timely and effective resolutions.
  • Collaborate with management to escalate and resolve issues as needed.
  • Process payments, handle cash accurately, and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
  • Provide guests with receipts and ensure accurate billing.
  • Monitor and ensure the security of guests and their belongings.
  • Follow company safety and security protocols, reporting any incidents or suspicious activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in any related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with hotel reservation systems (experience with Djubo is a plus).
  • Positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional guest service.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
