Job Description:

• Taybuwtah International School is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Financial Accounting Teacher to join our academic team.
• The ideal candidate will deliver engaging and practical accounting lessons that prepare students for internal exams and external business/accounting qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Financial Accounting to students at the secondary level using both Nigerian and British curriculum standards
• Prepare lesson plans, deliver lectures, assign and grade homework/tests
• Break down complex financial topics (e.g., double-entry, trial balance, financial statements) for student understanding
• Monitor student progress and provide individual academic support as needed
• Encourage practical knowledge through class exercises, projects, and simulations
• Maintain classroom discipline and foster an inclusive learning environment
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school events

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Education, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and curriculum content
• Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or accounting software is an advantage
• TRCN certification is an added advantage
