Job Description:

The Field Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods directly from the market. This role requires extensive fieldwork to gather prices, compare quality, and ensure timely procurement of items needed by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visit markets/vendors to obtain pricing and quality comparisons.
• Negotiate with suppliers for best prices and terms.
• Purchase approved goods and deliver receipts/invoices for documentation.
• Maintain a simple record of purchases made.
• Assist the procurement officer in supplier relationship management.
• Report daily/weekly on purchase activities and challenges.

Requirements:

• OND/HND in any relevant field.
• Knowledge of local markets and pricing trends.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Trustworthy and detail-oriented.
