Job Description: 

The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing the culinary operations, menu planning, kitchen staff management, food quality, and cost control. This role ensures the highest standards of food preparation and presentation while maintaining safety, hygiene, and efficiency in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

Menu Development & Execution:

  • Create innovative and high-quality menus that align with the restaurant’s theme and customer expectations.
  • Regularly update menus based on seasonal ingredients and market trends.
  • Ensure consistency in food preparation, portioning, and presentation.

Kitchen Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Establish standard operating procedures for food preparation, storage, and hygiene.
  • Implement and monitor kitchen safety and sanitation regulations.

Team Leadership & Staff Development:

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff.
  • Schedule and delegate tasks to ensure smooth kitchen workflow.
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment, encouraging teamwork and innovation.

Cost Control & Budgeting:

  • Manage food costs, portion control, and waste reduction.
  • Work within budget constraints to maintain profitability.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Maintain high culinary standards and ensure food quality meets customer expectations.
  • Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Customer Engagement & Feedback Management:

  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Address customer feedback and continuously improve menu offerings.
  • Participate in special events, promotions, and catering functions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of various cuisines, food trends, and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and cost control.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Fast-paced kitchen environment with extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Standing for long periods and handling high-pressure cooking situations.
  • Interaction with suppliers, vendors, and customers as required.
