Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Systems Maintenance:
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment.
  • Repair and replace electrical components, wiring, and equipment as needed to keep systems running efficiently.
  • Install and maintain electrical systems, including machinery, motors, lighting, and control systems.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and make necessary repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
  • Identify and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and production delays.
  • Work with other maintenance and production teams to address technical problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Test electrical systems, ensuring they meet all safety and operational standards.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Adhere to all safety standards, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, NEC, etc.).
  • Ensure that electrical systems are operating within legal and company standards.
  • Conduct safety checks on electrical equipment and ensure all necessary safety procedures are followed.
  • System Improvements and Upgrades:
  • Recommend improvements and upgrades to electrical systems to enhance efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment.
  • Provide input on energy-saving projects and solutions.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Prepare reports on system performance and maintenance schedules for management.
  • Maintain electrical diagrams, schematics, and documentation for troubleshooting and future reference.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure electrical systems support operational needs.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to report issues, progress, and solutions.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians or staff on electrical maintenance best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred).
  • Technical or vocational training in electrical systems, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
  • Electrical maintenance certifications (e.g., Journeyman or Master Electrician) are an advantage.
  • Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environment.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical systems, wiring, control systems, motors, and other electrical equipment.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and other automation systems is a plus.

Pay: ₦115,000.00 per month
