Peanut Technologies is looking to hire 2 Digital Design Interns to help with the website segment of our business, where we create visual assets for restaurant websites. The intern would be responsible for preparing website projects for our designers and team leads, and also making edits to web projects we’ve delivered based on client feedback.

Peanut Technologies Limited (peanuttab.com) provides point-of-sale, website, and digital signage support for restaurants and restaurant groups.

This role does not require any knowledge and expertise in coding/ front-end web dev, as we do not utilize any coding in any of our design processes. We however welcome candidates with any helpful front-end background to apply.

Job Responsibilities

Website Prep Work (45%)
Before we begin a website project, there are several things we do to ensure we properly identify key branding information for the restaurant

  • Creating content layout on web pages
  • Researching the restaurant online and gathering digital assets from their online channels, including their social media
  • Completing general website SEO
  • Optimizing image and file sizes to be used on the website
  • Migrating data from the restaurant’s current website to their new website
  • Building and testing 3rd party apps used on websites, including web forms, e-commerce add-ons, blog pages, etc

Design and Implementation (35%)

The intern would be responsible for making revisions to websites based on client feedback

  • Participating in client feedback calls to understand changes that need to be made on the website
  • Making website design revisions assigned by the Team Lead
  • Utilizing Canva and other design tools to create custom elements for some of the client’s webpages

Project Management & Training (20%)’

Following our company procedures to keep track of progress on projects

  • Regularly updating project pipelines to keep the status of projects up to date
  • Participating in training programs to gain more depth on the suite of technologies developed by our affiliate

  • No experience required, however any background/ training in web design/ UI-UX/ graphic design/ photography/ social media / visual arts or any relative role is a plus
  • Any portfolio/ project that displays great use of imagery, color, typography, and iconography
  • Any experience with a drag and drop website builder is a plus

Compensation & Hours

Hours

Hours are 3 pm to 9 pm daily (with a break of up to 1 hour) except on Nigerian public holidays. Occasional half-day shifts on public holidays may be required (we usually have 1 team member on call for half a day, so you may occasionally be part of the rotation once every few weeks)

Compensation

Pay is 125k+/ mo. We cover up to NGN 15,000 broadband internet fees monthly and certain other technology costs upon review and approval.

Candidates are required to have at least two wifi/ internet networks:

  • A primary broadband or fiber network
  • A backup network, which can include phone data plans like MTN.

Both networks must have a minimum download speed of 15 mbps.

Key details

  • Location: Our company is 100% remote. You can be based anywhere in Nigeria, although Lagos is preferred because we can facilitate broadband connections in most areas of the city.
  • This internship will be 6 months. We may offer a full time opportunity to the Intern depending on the fit.

Hiring Timeline (subject to change)
