Job Description:

We are seeking a results-driven and diligent Credit Relationship Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in MSME lending and business loans, with strong competencies in loan origination, credit assessment, and collections. The role demands a performance-driven professional who can maintain a Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio below 5% while expanding our credit portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Loan Origination & Processing:
• Identify, prospect, and onboard MSME clients for credit facilities.
• Conduct thorough credit appraisals, risk assessments, and business evaluations.
• Prepare and present credit proposals for approval.
• Relationship Management:
• Build and manage long-term relationships with clients to enhance loan performance.
• Provide advisory support to borrowers to optimize loan usage and repayment.
• Loan Monitoring & Collections:
• Monitor loan performance and ensure timely repayments.
• Proactively manage delinquent accounts and initiate recovery processes as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory standards.
• Portfolio Quality Management:
• Maintain a healthy credit portfolio with NPL consistently below 5%.
• Regularly analyze portfolio risks and recommend mitigation measures.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in MSME lending, microfinance, or commercial/business loan operations.
• Strong analytical, credit analysis, and risk management skills.
• Proven experience in collections and loan recovery.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and credit/lending systems.
• Familiarity with CBN regulations and financial compliance standards.
