Job Description:

The ideal candidate must possess a recognized welding inspection certification (such as CSWIP, AWS-CWI, or equivalent) and have hands-on experience in structural, pipeline, or industrial welding projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections and tests on welded components and joints to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.
• Monitor welding operations, including pre-weld, in-process, and post-weld activities.
• Review and verify welding procedures (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), and welder performance qualifications (WPQ).
• Conduct visual inspections and, where qualified, non-destructive testing (NDT) such as dye penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, or radiographic testing.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, maintain quality documentation, and issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) when necessary.
• Liaise with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve welding-related issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensure proper usage and storage of welding consumables and materials as per project requirements.
• Support audits and quality reviews by clients, contractors, or certifying bodies.
• Enforce safety and quality assurance procedures in all welding-related activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in welding inspection within a steel fabrication, oil & gas, pipeline, or industrial construction environment.
• Valid certification in welding inspection: CSWIP 3.1/3.2, AWS-CWI, or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME, ISO, API).
• Strong ability to read and interpret welding symbols, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Familiarity with NDT methods and techniques (qualification in NDT is a plus).
• Excellent attention to detail and technical reporting skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦250,000.00 – ₦300,000.00 per month
