Job Description:

Kreeks and Krooks Restaurant and Lounge is looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier to manage customer transactions with accuracy and professionalism. The Cashier will play a key role in ensuring a smooth dining experience by efficiently processing orders, handling payments, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and uphold the restaurant’s high standards of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly as they enter the restaurant, take orders, and provide information on menu items.
  • Order Processing: Accurately enter customer orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring that all items are recorded correctly.
  • Payment Handling: Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions swiftly and accurately, providing correct change and receipts.
  • Balance Register: At the beginning and end of each shift, balance the cash register, ensuring that all transactions are accounted for.
  • Menu Knowledge: Stay up to date on menu offerings, daily specials, and promotions to answer customer inquiries effectively.
  • Upselling: Suggest additional items or upsell menu options to enhance the customer’s dining experience and increase sales.
  • Customer Issue Resolution: Handle any customer complaints or issues related to payments or orders in a professional and courteous manner, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the cashier station, dining area, and customer-facing spaces clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth communication and coordination between the front of house and back of house.
  • Promotions & Discounts: Apply any promotional discounts or loyalty program rewards as required, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and beverages, and maintain confidentiality of customer payment information.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus, ideally in a restaurant, lounge, or retail setting.
  • Skills:
  • Strong mathematical skills to handle transactions accurately.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems or willingness to learn.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy in processing payments and recording orders.
  • Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing friendly and efficient service.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve customer concerns quickly.
  • Multitasking: Capable of handling multiple tasks at once, especially during busy periods.
  • Dependability: Punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Team Player: Willingness to work as part of a team and assist colleagues when needed.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with restaurant POS systems.
  • Familiarity with handling cash, credit, and digital payments.

Pay: ₦50,000.00 – ₦80,000.00 per month

Experience: Customer relations: 1 year (Preferred)
