Job Description:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive growth, increase revenue, and enhance the hospital’s market position. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, coordinating marketing efforts, and aligning business development activities with the organization’s goals.

Main Duties

  • Identifying and evaluating new business opportunities within the healthcare sector to facilitate organizational growth.
  • Developing and implementing strategic business plans aimed at driving market expansion and increasing market share.
  • Conducting comprehensive market research to analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and patient demographics, and preparing detailed reports to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Analyzing the feasibility and profitability of potential new service lines, specialty programs, and expansion initiatives to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with clients, Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), care managers, consultants, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance business development efforts.
  • Preparing persuasive business proposals and presentations that highlight the organization’s competitive advantages and value proposition.
  • Developing targeted marketing strategies focused on patient acquisition, retention, and service line growth to maximize market penetration.
  • Creating promotional content, including brochures and advertisements, while ensuring consistent branding across all marketing channels to reinforce brand identity.
  • Leading digital marketing initiatives, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), social media campaigns, and online advertising, to enhance online visibility and engagement.
  • Organizing community events to promote health education and hospital services, fostering positive community relations.
  • Establishing partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and industry stakeholders to expand the organization’s network and influence.
  • Representing the hospital at community events to build positive relationships and enhance the organization’s reputation.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including clinical and administrative departments, to ensure alignment of goals and effective execution of business development initiatives.
  • Meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as assigned, demonstrating consistent progress towards organizational objectives.
  • Managing budgets for business development projects, tracking progress, and ensuring cost-effectiveness to maximize return on investment.
  • Preparing financial reports on revenue growth, Return on Investment (ROI), and partnership performance to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Monitoring expenses while optimizing resources for marketing initiatives to ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Ensuring that all activities comply with industry regulations and ethical standards, maintaining the organization’s integrity and reputation.
  • Identifying potential risks associated with business initiatives and implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard organizational interests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development or marketing, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends, ADVERTISING regulations, and market dynamics.
  • Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Salary – N150,000.00 – N200,000.00 monthly
