In this role, you’ll review utility bills to make sure everything is correct—things like energy costs, extra fees, and meter readings. You’ll also check leases to confirm that the right pricing is being used and enter bills manually if they can’t be pulled in automatically. Strong spreadsheet skills and the ability to stay organized are a must.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit utility bills generated through software systems to confirm accuracy of charges, tariffs, and distribution fees.
Validate billing setups against tenant leases to ensure correct application of utility rates and terms.
Conduct monthly QA checks on manually entered or read meter data to ensure input accuracy.
Identify anomalies or variances in billing data, investigate root causes, and work with the billing team to resolve issues.
Review manually processed utility bills and ensure consistency with expected billing logic.
Monitor changes in tariffs, rate structures, and system configurations that may impact billing accuracy.
Create and maintain detailed QA documentation (checklists, audit logs, findings reports).
Collaborate with billing and operations teams to flag inconsistencies and propose corrective actions.
Requirements:
Extreme attention to detail and a high standard for data accuracy.
Strong ability to analyze large volumes of data for inconsistencies or errors.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
