Our Client is in the food and beverage sector. They are looking to hire an Assistant officer in Lagos to assist with daily restaurant Operations.

The ideal candidate will manage and organize daily restaurant operations with a goal of controlling costs and providing a high quality experience to customers. Areas of operation range from personnel management, waiting staff coordination and inventory management.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily restaurant operations.
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.
  • Regularly review product quality and research new vendors.
  • Organize and supervise shifts.
  • Ensure all end-of-day cash outs are correctly completed.
  • Coordinate daily front-and-back-of-house restaurant operations.
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to stakeholders to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Estimate future needs for consumables, kitchen utensils, and cleaning products.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Manage the restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it.
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses.
  • Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events.
  • Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads).
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices.
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.
  • Hire, train, and supervise restaurant employees.
  • Onboard new employees thoroughly in line with the onboarding agenda.
  • Create a staff schedule to ensure appropriate staffing.
  • Track stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment, forecast needs, and oversee ordering as necessary.
  • Take ownership of budgets and cost control methods to minimize expenses.
  • Address customer needs, comments, and complaints.
  • Adhere to and enforce employee compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure all employees are working within outlined operating standards.
  • Ensure all regulatory requirements are met and dues paid as required.
  • Provide reports on restaurant activities, financial performance, inventory, and personnel.

Requirements:

  • Degree in business management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Restaurant Operations Officer or in a similar role within the food service industry, preferably in a restaurant setting.
  • Working knowledge of a restaurant.
  • Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Leadership skills.

Pay: ₦150,000.00 – ₦200,000.00 per month
