Accounting and Finance Manager

Job Description:

A veterinary pharma-retail company located in Bodija, Ibadan is seeking a highly experienced and value-driven accounting/finance professional for the position of Accounting and Finance Manager. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance with statutory regulations.

‎Key Responsibilities:‎

‎*Accounting/Finance‎

‎1. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with local accounting standards (IFRS, Nigerian GAAP)

‎2. Accounting entry

‎3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

‎4. Manage accounts payable and receivable

‎5. Handle bank reconciliations and cash flow management, preparation of transfer orders

‎6. Support tax preparation and liaise with tax authorities (FIRS, LIRS)

‎7. Assist with audits, budget preparation, and financial forecasts

‎8. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies

‎

‎*Business Management

‎

‎9. Entry of delivery notes, sales invoices

‎10. Reconciliation between business management and accounting

‎11. Margin control and monitoring

‎12. Calculation of cost prices

‎13. Inventory tracking and verification

‎

Requirements:‎

‎1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

‎2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a corporate environment or audit firm

‎*3. Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is required*

‎4. Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations

‎5. Proficiency in accounting software (Sage) and Microsoft Excel is highly required

‎6. Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and integrity

‎7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

‎8. Resident in Ibadan
