Job Description:
As our Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing insightful reporting to support strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of retail or e-commerce experience, a sharp eye for detail, and a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and cash flow management.
Track production costs and collaborate with relevant teams to manage budgets and reduce expenses.
Monitor and reconcile sales across all channels including online, retail, wholesale, and events.
Manage inventory valuation and ensure stock accuracy.
Analyze marketing spend and ROI to guide future investments.
Prepare and present budgets, forecasts, and regular financial reports.
Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements; file accurate and timely returns.
Integrate accounting systems with e-commerce platforms and streamline financial processes.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to align financial and operational strategies.
Support business expansion through robust financial planning and investor reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
ICAN/ACCA certification is strongly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience, ideally in fashion, retail, or e-commerce.
Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Deep understanding of Nigerian tax laws and compliance standards.
Experience with online sales platforms is a strong advantage.
