Job Description:
As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial health and integrity of the organization. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports, per regulations and accounting standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and long term financial forecasts. Monitor performance against budgets and provide analysis to support strategic decision making.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring proper documentation of transactions.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in preparing and filing tax returns and other statutory requirements.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow projections and manage cash balances to optimize liquidity while minimizing risk.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insightful recommendations to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.
Qualification/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- In Depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Possesses effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, able to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Minimum Qualification: Degree (2nd Class Upper).
