Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Officer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and supporting the organization’s overall financial health. Success in this role means maintaining error-free accounts, preparing timely reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Account Officer plays a key role in ensuring our day-to-day operations run smoothly and that financial decisions are well-informed and data-driven.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of daily financial transactions and ensure timely data entry into accounting software
• Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Prepare and submit financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and other reports as required
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring expenditure to ensure alignment with approved budgets
• Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents in line with company policies
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing issues or discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal controls
• Support external audits by providing documentation and responding to queries as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
